Show 645: A journey through the sounds and words of Suden Radio (Radio Papesse)
This Radia Show is a special edit of the live transmission Radio Papesse presented at Savvy Funk as a carte blanche for Saout Africas.
Thanks to Saout Radio‘s invitation, on June 28th, 2017 we introduced a journey through the sounds and words of Süden Radio featuring fragments of works by Andrius Arutiunian, Valentina Bonizzi, Charo Calvo, Abdellah M. Hassak, Alyssa Moxley, Bartosz Panek, Polisonum and Pablo Sanz.
In our attempt to re-write new and unheard geographies of sound we invited artists and producers to reflect upon the Mediterranean discourse; the personal cartographies as a tool of re-appropriation of places and memories; the use and the circulation of audio archival materials in sound art and experimental audio production. This carte blanche traces some of the answers we got and opens our – the listeners – ears to unexpected latitudes.
Enjoy the listening!

Show 637: Internal spirit of collective sound by Aïller Gredionou (Radio Grenouille)
Aïller Gredionou is an artist who travels the world using a copper trunk to pick up the sounds that pass to his reach.
By recording them, he offers us a poetic image of his travels, wandering from radio programs to unfinished paintings.
A sonorous material that draws us from the linear world of unfulfilled designs.

Show 628: It’s in my Nature by Brane Zorman (Radio Študent)
From the artists statement and description:
As certain spaces and times have become oversaturated due to urbanisation and the population explosion, certain (animal) species have began withdrawing to unpopulated landscapes and unoccupied times – into the night. We understand these withdrawals as a search for solutions that could lead to a ‘better quality of life’, an existence that would be better than the one offered to us by the oversaturated space-time.
Zorman created a 55min long wolf howling composition using from various sources and recordings techniques that was commissioned and premiered during radioCona:wolFMoon project in january 2017 (http://www.radiocona.si/radioconawolfmoon/).
This shorter edited version dives a listener to a cold winter night when wolfs howl to mark and protect their territory in and symphony of one of the most suggestive and powerful sound of nature which can be heard on remote parts of wolfs packs landscape.
